The Ujwal Thapa Memorial Scholarship, established in memory of one of the co-founders of the WordPress Nepal community, aims to honor the legacy of Ujwal Thapa and his significant contributions to the WordPress community in Nepal. This scholarship is dedicated to assisting Nepalese individuals who are unable to attend WordCamp Nepal 2024 due to financial constraints or have never had the opportunity to participate in a WordCamp before.

- Should demonstrate a passion for WordPress or related technologies
- Must showcase financial need or a lack of access to resources

- Access to all workshops, sessions, and networking events at WordCamp Nepal 2024.
- For the selected candidates from outside of Pokhara, the scholarship will cover travel and accomodation for the event days.
- Mentorship opportunities and guidance from experienced WordPress professionals.
- This scholarship will provide benefits for five individuals.
Application Process
Interested candidates can apply for the Ujwal Thapa Memorial Scholarship by submitting an application form, including a brief personal statement outlining their passion for WordPress and the reasons for seeking the scholarship. Applicants will also need to demonstrate their financial need or lack of access to resources preventing their participation in WordCamp Nepal 2024.
The deadline for this application is November 25th, 2023 (midnight, Nepal Time)
The decision for the selection of scholarship recipients will be made jointly by the WordCamp Nepal 2024 committee and Ujwal Thapa Foundation members. This collaborative approach ensures a fair and thorough selection process, considering the individual circumstances and potential of each applicant.
