Update on Our Call for Volunteers

We are thrilled to announce that our call for volunteers has received an overwhelming response and support from our incredible community. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who expressed their interest in being a part of our mission.

As of now, the call for volunteers is officially closed. Our team is currently in the process of carefully reviewing all the applications, and we will be notifying the selected volunteers by September 20th, 2023. We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and dedication to our cause, and we can’t wait to welcome our new team members on board.

For those who may not be selected as volunteers this time, we want to remind you that you can still be a valuable part of our event. We invite you to participate as an attendee and join us in making this event a memorable experience. Plus, keep an eye out for our early bird tickets, which will not only grant you access to the event but also help you save some money. Volunteers play a crucial role in events of this magnitude. By joining our team as a volunteer, you will contribute to the seamless execution of the event, ensuring everyone enjoys the experience. Volunteers will receive complimentary access to the event and exclusive parties.

Date: 12th and 13th January, 2024
Venue: Hotel Pokhara Grande, Pardi, Birauta

Volunteer Roles:

We are looking for volunteers to help with various tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Registration, Swag Store and attendee assistance.
  • Speaker and session coordination. (Timekeeper, Door Guard, Tech Assist, Microphone Runners, Slides Support)
  • Setting up and managing event spaces.
  • Assisting with workshops and tutorials.
  • Media and Sponsor Support.
  • Social media and content support.
  • Photography and videography.

What are the qualifications?

To be a volunteer at WordCamp Nepal, there are no specific qualifications required. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. Whether you’re a WordPress expert or a newcomer to the community, your passion and enthusiasm are what matter most. Anyone from any background can apply to become a volunteer at WordCamp Nepal and be a valuable part of this exciting event.

Voluntary Nature of Participation

The position is offered on a voluntary basis, and it does not include any monetary remuneration for your contributions. Chosen volunteers will be granted complimentary tickets to the primary event and associated gatherings, though they will be responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, and related expenses. Nonetheless, your involvement will yield significant experiential insights and establish your standing within the WordPress community.

Responsibilities:

The specifics may vary by roles. However, you’re expected to:

  • Be a friendly face of the WordCamp Nepal and the WordPress project, strictly abiding by the Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Attend the Volunteer Orientations, Meetings, Meetups as scheduled and invited.
  • Perform the duties assigned on the main event including both Contributor Day and Main Event Day.

How to Apply:

To apply as a volunteer for WordCamp Nepal 2024, please fill out this Volunteer Application Form by 15th of September, 2023. Hurry, as spots are limited, and we are expecting a high number of applications!

Deadlines:

The deadline for submitting applications is 15th September, 2023.

We intend to notify the selected volunteers by 20th September, 2023.
