What We’re Looking For
An ideal host city for WordCamp Nepal should have:
- An enthusiastic and welcoming WordPress community
Previous experience with WordPress meetups or WordCamps is highly encouraged, but not mandatory. - A suitable venue for a national-level conference
The venue should comfortably support talks, workshops, sponsor areas, and community activities. - Easy accessibility for attendees
The city should be well-connected and easily accessible for participants traveling from different parts of Nepal, as well as from abroad. - A committed and diverse organizing team
A team that is ready to collaborate, communicate openly, and follow WordCamp guidelines throughout the planning process.
If you’ve never hosted an event of this scale before, that’s not a blocker. The WordCamp Nepal and global WordPress community will provide guidance, resources, and ongoing support to help you plan and deliver a successful event.

Selection Process and What’s Next
After the application period closes, the WordCamp Nepal organizing leadership will carefully review all submissions. Shortlisted teams may be contacted for additional information or follow-up discussions as part of the evaluation process.
The official host city announcement will be made publicly once the selection process is complete. Following the announcement, the organizing team will begin expanding the volunteer base and start planning WordCamp Nepal in collaboration with the wider WordPress community.
