Ashish Aama Homestay is a family run hotel named after the Aama of Ashish as called by everyone in the village as Ashish Aama (Ashish’s Mother). Aama is an independent woman who aspires to be self-sufficient and manages the hotel. She was the pioneer of starting a homestay in the village of Ghandruk.

One of the oldest accommodations in Ghandruk, Aashish Aama Homestay is set in the midfolds in the lap of the Himalayas and offers picturesque views of the mountains as well as a unique dive into the cultural experience of rural village life in Nepal.

Our homestay is in a proximity for the trekkers going beyond Ghandruk or the short hikers reaching up to Ghandruk for their adventure. We offer unobstructed views of the mountains, attentive hosts, great food and drinks and clean rooms. We also have a garden, 24 hour electricity supply, hot showers, bar and terrace!

As a guest, you can also rent the traditional gurung costumes to flaunt and photograph at the homestay itself — a concept brought into Ghandruk from Darjeeling by Aama herself!
