Code of Conduct

1. Purpose
WordCamp Nepal 2027 is built on the belief that our community is at its best when everyone feels welcome, respected, and included.
We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, age, caste, social class, nationality, preferred operating system, programming language, text editor, or any other personal characteristic.
This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior and the steps we may take when these expectations are not met.
We invite all attendees, speakers, sponsors, organizers, volunteers, media representatives, and other participants to help us create a positive, respectful, and memorable WordCamp Nepal 2027 experience for everyone.
2. Open Source Citizenship
WordPress is more than software; it is a global community built on collaboration, openness, contribution, and a willingness to help one another.
One of our goals with this Code of Conduct is to encourage everyone to practice good open source citizenship and recognize how our actions can strengthen the wider WordPress and open source community.

5. Consequences Of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated, regardless of whether it is carried out by an attendee, speaker, organizer, volunteer, sponsor, venue staff member, or other participant.

6. What To Do If You Witness Or Are Subject To Unacceptable Behavior
If you experience unacceptable behavior, witness someone else experiencing it, or have any concern about someone’s safety or well-being, please tell us as soon as possible.
You do not need to determine whether something “counts” as a violation before asking for help. If something makes you uncomfortable or you are concerned about yourself or someone else, please reach out.
The WordCamp Nepal 2027 team can help you:
- Connect with a conference organizer.
- Contact venue security or local authorities when necessary.
- Find a safe or quiet space.

Our volunteers will be wearing clearly identifiable WordCamp Nepal 2027 volunteer shirts and identification badges. Any volunteer can connect you with an organizer.

It is created by everyone who shows up.
Every conversation, introduction, act of kindness, shared idea, helping hand, and thoughtful interaction contributes to the community we build together.
